Rust Series

Alyse is Currently working on her “Rust Series” which consists of different objects that have rusted over a long period of time. The idea behind this study is to focus on the beauty and the story that old, rusted objects can tell others.

Architecture

Alyse is also working on creating a study of various archietecture structures that are tourist attrracations that are local to where she resides as well as other various parts of the world.

Plein Air Paintings

Alyse took a plein air class during college. She learned how to use oil paint for the first time, how to mix colors, and paint directly through observation of the outdoors.

College Work 2017-2021

Alyse graduated from college with a Bachelor’s in Art Education. She took art classes ranging from drawing, painting, jewelry and metalsmithing, 3D, ceramics, and print making.

Facial Muscle Tissue Study

Alyse Keith completed this study for her 2-D Design AP Art portfolio during her senior year of high school. She scored a perfect 5 which is the highest score an art student can acquire. Only 15% students who apply score a perfect 5.

Alyse’s idea for this study was two things. The main concept was to convey that while we all look very different on the outside we all have the same structure underneath our faces. She also wanted to better her understanding of the human face by studying the facial muscle tissues that lied underneath peoples faces.

High School Art 2013-2017

Alyse took art classes all throughout high school. She got to explore and further her knowledge on watercolor, colored pencils, pen, graphite, and acrylics in her work.
